What is the difference between a local account and a Fygo Account?
This article explains the difference between a local account and a Fygo Account in FygoOS.
Local account

Purpose: Used for user authentication when accessing Fygo NAS devices on the local network.

Access scenarios:
- FygoOS login page
- Fygo app login page

How to create:
- During system installation and initialization, create an administrator account;
- Go to System Settings > User Management to create a standard user account.

Forgot password:
- Administrator: If another administrator exists, contact them to reset your password. If not, reset FygoOS.
- Standard user: Contact an administrator to reset your password.
Fygo Account
- Purpose: When using Fygo cloud services such as the FygoConnect remote service, your Fygo NAS needs to be linked to a valid Fygo Account. Cloud services require customer contact information to provide technical support, billing, service subscriptions, and personal legal accountability.
- Access scenario: Fygo Account login page.
- How to create: Enter your phone number, complete SMS verification, then fill in basic information to finish registration.
- Forgot password: After login, click Forgot Password, and reset your password after successful verification.
