How to set up and share file share links?
With the External Share Link feature, you can share multiple files or folders with users outside your NAS through a link.
How to set up Link Sharing?
Open Files > Files Settings > Link Sharing Settings in the bottom-left corner.

In Link Sharing Settings, you can configure the following:
-
Link Sharing Permissions: Choose whether all users or administrators only can use Link Sharing to create and manage share links.
-
Share Link Settings: You can configure the domain and speed limits for Share Links in System Settings - Remote Access - External Share. Then you can use either the default link or a custom external share link.
-
Default Link
If you have enabled the FygoConnect remote access service, a FygoConnect-specific external share link will be generated each time you share. If the FygoConnect remote access service is not enabled, a LAN IPv4 address will be generated.
FygoConnect file share links will not expose your Fygo ID.
-
Custom Link
You can set the generated share link to use the HTTPS or HTTP protocol.
You can use an IPv4 address, IPv6 address, or domain name as the share link. Make sure to enter an accessible port for your Fygo NAS so the share link can be opened properly.
-

How to create a share link?
In Files, select a file, then right-click or click More to create a share link.

When creating a share link, you can set the link's expiry time, password, and access limit. Click OK to create the share link. You can create multiple share links with different settings for the same file.
- Expiry time: If unchecked, the link is permanent.
- Password: If unchecked, no password is required. If checked, enter a password of at least 4 characters.
- Access limit: Unchecked by default. If unchecked, access is unlimited.

How to manage share links?
You can view and manage all the external share links you created in Files > Share Links.
File share links have the following 3 statuses:
- Valid: The link has not reached its expiry time, the access limit has not been reached, and the current user has permission to use the feature.
- Expired: The link has reached its expiry time or access limit. External users cannot open the link.
- Invalid: The link is invalid due to issues such as the user not having Link Sharing permission. External users cannot open the link either.
