Cannot select a folder when creating a library?
On FygoOS, Fygo TV is an application that can be made available to non-NAS users. The user permissions within the app are independent of NAS permissions. For data security purposes, you need to manually specify the file access scope that Fygo TV can read and write on the NAS. Here is how to set it up:
1. Settings entry
In System Settings > Apps, find Fygo TV and open it.

2. Add folders
Click + Folder to open the file picker.

The available file scope includes:
- My Files: Files of the current user
- Team Folder: Files in team folders
- Volume: Includes all files under the volume, including user files, team files, and app files
- External Storage: Connected USB drives or external hard drives
- Remote Mount: Files from remote devices or cloud drives mounted to the NAS
After selecting, click Select to confirm. You can add multiple folders.

3. Set Read/Write permissions
To fully use Fygo TV features, set the folder permission to Read/Write. For remotely mounted devices and cloud drives, Fygo may not be able to modify their permissions due to their file systems, but this does not affect usage.
4. Save settings
Click Confirm to save the settings. After saving, go back to Fygo TV > Create Library, click Media Folder > + again to view and select the folders you want to add.
FAQ
1. Path does not exist
This is because the selected folder does not exist. It may have been deleted, moved, renamed, or disconnected.
- Go to Files and check the corresponding file location to verify the folder exists;
- If the folder is on external storage (USB drive, external hard drive), go to Files > External Storage to check if it has been disconnected;
- If the folder is on a remotely mounted external device or cloud drive, go to Files > Remote Mount to check if the connection is lost. If disconnected, please reconnect.

2. Error when selecting external storage
When selecting a folder from external storage (USB drive, external hard drive), you may encounter an error message (shown in red) after confirming. This is because the default permission for external storage is "Visible to Admin Only", and the Fygo TV app does not have access.

Go to Files > Files Settings > External Storage Permissions, change the permission to "Visible to All Accounts", then go back to the app settings and confirm again to save.
